Works with TiVo and our TV- great item! Oct 29, 2009
We purchased this remote for our four year old daughter. She is allowed a little bit of TV every evening and we wanted her to be able to turn on the TV and the TiVo and choose a kid-friendly show to watch all by herself.
We were able to easily program the remote to work with both our TV and our TiVo HD. My husband and I mapped the different keys on the remote so that my daughter can use the Wee Mote to navigate through the "Now Playing" list (using the KidZone settings on our TiVo), select a show, play and pause the show, as well as power on/off the TV, scan through a handful of kid-friendly channels, and adjust the volume. I'm sure every family has a different set of functions they'd like a child-friendly remote to have, and with the Wee Mote, you can customize it to do exactly what you need. My four-year-old was able to work it instantly, as soon as we showed her what each button did.
The biggest surprise about this remote is that it's helping to teach our daughter to read. In order to figure out what TV shows are on the "Now Playing" list, she's sounding out the letter sounds of the titles. I never really expected that a remote control and a TiVo would motivate her to learn to read, but it was a nice bonus.
All in all, very user friendly, very customizable, and definitely works with our TiVo/TV. Perfect! Thank you for a great product.
(btw, we ordered the Wee Mote from Fobis Technologies via Amazon.com and we received it very quickly and it was well packaged.)

PERFECT FIRST REMOTE FOR KIDS Jan 10, 2009
This is a wonderful first remote for most 2 to 3 year old kids. This remote can be programmed for use on most tv's. Once programmed you kids can change the channel, volume or power on and off the tv by themselves. It is much less complex than most normal tv remotes. You can also program their favorite channels for easy access by hitting one botton. You can even program it to only grant access to select channels.

Perfect for a 3+ year old Sep 07, 2008
Small boy has a beater TV that doesn't even say the manufacturer on it. Took less than 15 minutes to set it up with Time Warner Cable. He cant break it (yet) and seems to grasp the concepts already.

Excellent product for kids/parents! Jun 24, 2008
This is a wonderful product that allows the parents to program a remote control just for the kids. It allows the kids to turn on the TV and/or cable box, satellite box, Tivo, etc., control the volume (or this feature can be turned off) and pre-sets the channels the kids can watch. The instructions are easy to follow and if you happen to have DirecTv, the kids channels are already programmed for you. This WeeMote controls the latest and greatest A/V equipment and I have to say my children have become addicted to the power! We had an older model for our old TV but it didn't work with our new HD set up. So we got this for their birthday they love it...and we love it. One thing to watch, though, is that if you program certain channels like Disney and Discovery Kids, they change to more mature programming later in the day and the Weemote will still allow the kids to go to those channels. We monitor them more closely in the evenings for that reason.
